This is a full time, permanent position.

Our client, who has over 15 years of experience within the industry is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their vibrant team based at their Head Office in Marlow. The individual will have a strong passion for finance as this role will be to support the finance team in different task areas, as listed below, but may vary from time to time (study support will be provided only for excellent candidates, although this is not a general concept).  This role will provide key support from within the finance function for Purchase Ledger, suppliers’ payment run, assisting with month end and reports and completing a variety of finance tasks.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Posting non stock suppliers’ invoices and statement reconciliations in a timely manner
  • Performing routine purchase ledger activities (coding invoices/sending them for approval, posting invoices and reconciling statements)
  • Processing expense claims according to company guidelines
  • Checking and releasing all customers’ orders
  • Providing cover for other finance department functions, such as treasury and courier purchase ledger
  • Assisting with cash flow and producing an updated list weekly
  • Assisting with reconciliations and reporting (as and when required)
  • Supporting month and year end processes
  • EC sales returns/instrastat (as and when required)
  • Posting journals (as and when required)
  • Supporting finance team on all financial matters (as and when required)

 

Special Requirements: 
  • High level of IT experience – Sage Line-500 and Excel
  • Previous experience of working within a similar role and industry ideal
  • Willingness to work the extra hour during month end
  • Ability to deliver results in a timely fashion
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, personable and able to work with external parties
  • Highly organised coupled with the ability to prioritise effectively to meet deadlines
  • Smart and professional in appearance
