Our client a global support company is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their thriving team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for managing an accounts team, allocation and recruitment of staff as well as liaising with internal and external suppliers of a high level. The ideal candidate will be CIMA, FCA, ACCA qualified or studying towards these and part qualified.

Duties of the role will include:
• Day to day management of Accounts Team
• Structure of team, tasks allocation and recruitment of new staff
• Maintenance of Nominal Ledger & coding
• Review of Debtors Reports and assistance with Overdue Problem Accounts
• Preparation of UK Group monthly Management Accounts and reporting them to Divisional Operations Directors and MD
• Provision of ad hoc financial information to the business
• UK & US Cash flow Management
• Review all payment runs
• Ensuring all cash floats are returned and accounted for
• Review & authorise all envelope/float reconciliations before posting
• Credit card management & queries
• Review & Authorisation of Monthly Payroll
• Preparation & submission of UK Vat Returns
• Preparation of National Statistics Reports
• Company Secretary for all group companies
• Preparation of Budgets and Forecasts for UK Group
• Preparation of Consolidated Group Budget & Forecasts including Chinese subsidiary & Associated Businesses
• Liaison with Bank & HMRC
• Preparation of draft Statutory Accounts, audit information and first point of contact for Auditors
• Statutory Accounts for Dormant subsidiaries 
• Bank Signatory
• Review of Purchase Ledger Balances, Sales Ledger Balances and Provision for Doubtful Debts
• Intercompany Postings & Reconciliations
• Cut Off/Accruals/Prepayments
• Maintain Fixed Asset Register and Depreciation
• Reconciliation of Loan Accounts/HP & Lease Purchase Accounts and accounting for interest
• Reconciliation of Payroll Net Wages & PAYE/NIC control accounts
• Review of Stock Valuation & Stores allocations
• Preparation of monthly accounts 
• Consolidation of 3 Trading companies 
• Consolidation of Chinese Subsidiary & Associated Businesses to give Group Accounts
• Investigate all variances
• Detailed analytical review and variance analysis 

Special Requirements: 

• Several years’ experience within a similar role
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills 
• Honest, integral and reliable 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail 
• Proficient on a computer, e.g. Microsoft Excel

• Sage payroll
• Excellent organisational skills
