This is a full time, permanent role. (£50K-£60K (D.O.E.) per annum +- £32K OTE Commission)

Our client, a distributor based in Marlow, is looking for a Business Development Manager to carry out sales activities, enabling agreed business plans/targets to be achieved. This role will be supported by lead generation and marketing teams that will create sales leads and provide effective marketing campaigns.

Once new business has been won and successfully implemented, there will be a hand over to the servicing/management of the client to the Client Success team.

Key Duties include:

• Achieving new business sales, meeting agreed quarterly targets
• Planning/carrying out direct lead development activity
• Working closely with lead generation and marketing teams to qualify/convert new business leads
• Responding to and following up sales enquiries received from prospective clients
• Setting up and leading client meetings and actively engaging with internal departments to create/present winning solutions
• Maintaining/computerising clients on CRM database
• Monitoring/reporting on activities and providing relevant management information
• Reviewing leads and opportunities regularly with senior managers to develop/refine sales strategies
• Identifying/feeding back market intelligence on client, prospects and competitor activity
• Building/maintaining effective relationships with implementation and Client Success teams
• Delivering revenue growth from new clients in line with agreed sales and marketing plan
• Building pipeline of prospects from known contacts
• Reviewing existing clients and identifying new business opportunities

Key Requirements:

• Industry knowledge: strong knowledge of ecommerce fulfilment, both operationally, service and business development based, demonstrated across logistics environments
• Ability to build/develop mutually beneficial relationships with clients and the stakeholders within
• Actively collaborating with colleagues to identify services/solutions to improve the client experience and deliver enhanced value for their clients
• Experience in the tech and/or retail sectors
• Proven sales track record in securing significant e-fulfilment wins
• Excellent presentation and IT skills
