Our client, a highly successful leading manufacturer with strong core values, is looking to recruit a Customer Service Assistant where your primary role will be to enter orders and communicate information regarding delivery times to customers.

Acting as the primary person in this role, you must have the ability to undertake lots of different duties at one time. You will be expected to liaise daily with customers, Account Managers and colleagues and will be working with the department to reduce costs and to provide a fast and efficient service (both internally and externally).

Key Responsibilities:

• Electronic filing and maintenance of accurate records
• Managing orders across UK sites and for their overseas partners
• Ensuring fast accurate response to all customer queries
• Ensuring adherence to the segmentation process
• Adhering to compliance concerning set process flows
• Liaising with commercial teams on pricing, minimum order quantities and logistics
• Ensuring best in class information flow to customers on logistics and lead times
• Liaising with all group sites ensuring the company is maximised and group capability is fully leveraged
• Ensuring systems are administered consistently and accurately
• Acting as a key contact for a select number of accounts for internal issues or covering in the absence of the Account Manager
• Assisting across the department when required
• Covering sickness/holidays when required within the department
• Reception cover (rotating between other members of the team)
• Any other ad-hoc duties when required

Special Requirements:

• GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
• Previous customer service and/or sales support
• Good Microsoft Office skills
• Experience of working with an ERP system
• Previous experience within the food industry
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with a strong work ethic
• Organised, with the ability to prioritise/use own initiative
• Proactive/positive/honest/reliable/dedicated
