Our client, founded in 2019, is looking to recruit a Group Finance Executive, reporting directly to the Group Management Accountant.  You will be expected to offer sufficient flexibility in order to assist with finance functions that cover the sales and purchase ledger, as well as the preparation of accurate and timely management information for use in the company board meetings.

Our client is prepared to offer training (internal and external) to the successful applicant to continually enhance development.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Data entry for all financial transactions on the Xero accounting package
  • Setting up of new, or update of existing, data held on the Xero accounting package when requested by the Group Management Accountant
  • Processing secured orders through the Xero accounting package with the relevant suppliers, advising the Customer Manager of projected and actual delivery date when product related
  • Assisting in covering sales ledger responsibilities when required
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Stock management reporting
  • Journals
  • Providing first point of contact for issue resolution for all finance related matters
  • Office administration and various ad-hoc tasks as deemed necessary
  • Matching/checking/coding all supplier invoices
  • Organising weekly/monthly supplier payments for Group Management Accountant to approve
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Liaising with external advisors regarding accruals and pre-payments

Special Requirements: 

• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Prior knowledge of Xero accounting package, or similar (an advantage)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
• Ability to manage own workload efficiently, prioritising tasks effectively
• Ability to keep to strict deadlines
• Willingness to learn new skills with a proactive/positive attitude
• Reliable, remaining calm under pressure and approachable
• Ability to maintain the Xero accounting package, ensuring all information held is accurate and up to date
• Ability to solve problems independently but with an understanding when to escalate to senior management
• Ability to demonstrate self-motivation, undertaking relevant training and providing input and suggestions for continuous improvement
