Master Scheduler [1 Year Maternity Contract] (CS005935)
ContractThis is a full time (1 Year Maternity Cover) position.
Our client, a high successful leading manufacturer with strong core values, is looking to recruit a Master Scheduler (on 1 year maternity cover basis).
Main Purpose of the Role:
• Establishing procedures for production planning across various sites
• Assisting in developing planning tools and framework/testing proposed system updates
• Publishing Master Production Schedule, including contract manufacturing to assure achievability within timeline of plant capacity and specification
• Managing planning calendars
• Executing and maintaining tool-box, as well as techniques required to evaluate impact of proposed schedule changes
• Leading Planning Team in morning production meetings
• Ensuring constant communication with stakeholders where pertinent when proposed schedule changes arise
• Assisting in system issue resolution – first line of support for all planning issues
• Assisting in training all users of MS in AX2012.Core Power user for D365
• Investigating OTIF to drive further improvements
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitoring production progress, ensuring schedule is on track and investigating if behind plan
• Troubleshooting problems occurring during production, including staff shortages and machinery malfunctions
• Liaising with Sales Division/Customer Services to determine customer requirements
• Acting as communications link to Accounts Managers regarding production MOQ/lead time on new product lines
• Liaising with Purchasing Department on current demand requirements
• Raising finished product transfers for various sites
• Liaising and organising outsourcing products with contractors
• Acting as main contact on production for planning and priority
• Maintaining schedules for minimum stock replenishment for finished product stock holdings
• Planning to produce sign off from production on a weekly basis
Special Requirements:
• AX Knowledge (Super User)
• A Levels or BTEC qualifications
• Good business knowledge
• Experience in scheduling within a manufacturing environment
• Full UK driving licence
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy with a strong work ethic
• Organised, with the ability to prioritise/use own initiative
• Proactive/positive/honest/reliable/dedicated
Desirable:
• Graduate, ideally in market discipline
• Minimum Grade C or above in GCSE, or equivalent in English and Maths
