Operations Assistant (CS005913) Permanent

Our client who, in the last 18 months, has experienced considerable growth in the amount of assets and clients they manage, is looking to recruit an Operations Assistant.  Assisting the Operations Analyst and Chief Operating Officer (as well as reporting to the Chief Operating Officer), your role will be varied and will cover a broad remit of data processing duties, in particular providing key operations support to the trading activities of the Fund Managers.

Duties of the role will include:

• Managing the daily trade cycle, including trade reporting requirements
• Liaising with brokers and custodians on trade settlements
• Managing the custody, pricing and fund reconciliation
• Assisting the Fund Managers with maintaining the Order Management System, cash flow management and some key spreadsheets for monitoring the portfolios and enabling trade decisions
• Client reporting
• Record keeping – monitoring and management of this within the business
• Providing input to the team to improve processes and checks
• Supporting the research team, gathering data and putting together models
• Supporting the marketing and distribution team, providing data based research for their collateral and client needs
• Ad hoc tasks as required to support a small team
• Office management : to include a limited amount of office administration tasks, including buying supplies, organising coffee for client meetings (infrequent)
