Our client, a local surveyors in High Wycombe is seeking a Personal Assistant. This position can be Part Time or Full Time with the flexibility to work from home on occasions. The successful candidate must have extensive audio typing and have the ability to hit the ground running. If you are immediately available, this is advantageous.

  • Providing PA support to Director
  • Organising meetings, surveys, site meetings and updating diary/outlook
  • Audio typing letters, surveys, meeting minutes, party wall awards, specifications etc
  • Answering incoming calls and taking detailed messages
  • Checking incoming ‘admin’ company emails daily, forwarding to Directors, as appropriate and responding to emails on their behalf
  • Creating new files, updating the new client system in ‘excel’
  • Creating invoices, updating ‘word’ system and accountancy book
  • Obtaining property details for new queries and arranging access for surveys
  • Creating ‘excel’ spreadsheets and entering tenders figures
  • Sending out surveys and other documentation via email and hard copies by post
  • Printing and folding construction drawings
  • Ordering and maintaining stationery for the office
  • Day to day banking: paying in cheques, obtaining petty cash, purchasing office sundries and postage stamps
  • General office administration
  • Covering for other PA’s workload when she is on annual leave

Skills Required:

  • Excellent, polite telephone manner and ability to take detailed messages
  • Accurate, fast audio typist
  • Able to work as a team as well as on their own initiative
  • Able to prioritise workload and maintain client confidentiality
  • Experience working for a firm of surveyors would be an advantage but not essential
