Full Time PermanentThis is a full time, permanent position (working 40 hours per week).
Our client, a hardware store based on the outskirts of High Wycombe, is seeking a determined and driven Warehouse Operative to join their busy team to conduct a range of warehouse duties, namely Goods-In, Reach and Counterbalance forklift driving (where qualified), putting goods away, ensuring racks are in an orderly manner, picking of orders, preparing orders, Goods-Out and loading of varying types of transport. You will also be expected to ensure a high level of daily housekeeping is maintained in the warehouse, as well as ensuring all relevant paperwork is correctly processed in accordance with procedures/policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring all documentation is correctly checked and processed
• Ensuring all “Goods Inwards” is checked in an accurate and timely manner
• Booking in goods on company systems
• Picking/packing of customer orders
• Locating stock on company systems
• Conducting the despatch process with relevant paperwork
• Carrying out stock checks as applicable
• Driving forklifts and company vehicles as required
• Operating the company system at standard level
• Supporting the manager in related duties as required
• General warehouse housekeeping
• Carrying out all other duties that may reasonably be added to this role
• Following procedures for all company quality standards (ISO 9001 & 14001, TS16949 & AS/EN9120)
• Working at different locations when required
Special Requirements:
• Previous experience within a warehouse environment
• Good IT skills with experience working on company systems
• Reach and Counterbalance Forklift certification (advantageous but not essential)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to use own initiative
• Ability to work well within a team
• Honest, reliable, dedicated and flexible in approach
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong work ethic
• Must be organised and able to prioritise
• Physically and mentally fit
• Clear understanding and appreciation of health and safety procedures
• Full UK driving license (as travel to other sites may be required on occasion)
