This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week.

Our client, who has been involved in the interior design industry for over 50 years, is looking to recruit a self-motivated Business Development Co-ordinator to assist the Marketing Manager in converting leads and expanding new business.  You will be responsible for initiating contact with prospects and leads that have been generated by the Marketing Team, with the aim of progressing them to become a shopper and generate sales.  You will be expected to build relationships and develop them into customers and then into advocates, as well as maintaining relationships with existing customers, addressing their needs to ensure satisfaction.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Contacting/converting leads into customers
  • Developing the ‘Ladder of Loyalty’
  • Using the CRM system to manage leads
  • Using the ‘8 touch sales process’ to ensure contact is maintained with leads and customers
  • Answering customer enquiries and providing quotes
  • Processing invoices, taking payment and, where necessary, refunding customers
  • Booking in/organising fitters’ diaries, ensuring all work is completed to customer satisfaction
  • Managing customer e-mails and telephone calls relating to sales
  • Processing sales orders
  • Continuous improvement of the process
  • Generating 20 calls per day to trade customers
  • Making 10 points of contact to each retail customer
  • Responding to emails within 2 hours
  • Cold calling may be required on occasions
Special Requirements: 
  • Proven experience in sales or a relevant role
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as customer service skills
  • Experience with CRM and SOP systems
  • Strong attention to detail and a high focus on customer satisfaction (essential)
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work without supervision
  • Excellent time management/organisational/leadership skills
  • Familiarity with sales processes
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Qualification in sales business, marketing or relevant field (preferred)
  • 3-5 years professional experience
  • Self-motivated / reliable / trustworthy
