This is a part time, permanent position.

Our client, a major supporting company are seeking an experienced PR Manager to join their vibrant team. The successful candidate will have 2 -3 years’ experience working within a marketing and communications environment, be well organised and be a great team player with a positive energy and approach to their work.

Duties will include:

  • Implementing the delivery of the Marketing and Communications Plans for the organisation
  • Oversee digital networks, and positively raise the profile of the company – communicating the great work of the organisation and underpinning its reputation.
  • Leading the delivery of online presence for the company, including website, social media, email newsletters and other online resources.
  • Leading the events programme, seeking sponsorship for events and encouraging speakers.
  • Line management of the Business Support Officer who is responsible for I.T, events and communications support.
  • Develop and implement key performance measures to demonstrate the impact and effectiveness of all Marketing, PR and Communications activity – and prepare regular and ad hoc performance reports for the CEO, SMT and Trustees as required.
  • Take the lead on liaison with the press and media, and quality assuring all media communications
  • Manage membership services with a goal to increase membership and affiliation, maintaining a high level of service and quality to members including regular email newsletters and promotion.
  • Oversee online services taking a hands on role in web site development and maintenance
  • Overseeing the management of a case study database
  • Preparing and monitoring annual communications budget
  • Managing one staff member and any volunteers and interns
  • Developing key messages, lead on creating and maintaining appropriate and consistent language and terminology across all media
  • Support trading marketing and research work where needed.
  • Keeping up to date on best practice within the organisations sector generally and particularly changes to communications innovation, legislation and codes of practice
  • Enhancing communications and team-work with colleagues and developing an in-depth understanding of the organisations work and needs of its users


Special Requirements: 
  • 2-3 years’ experience of a marketing and communications environment
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and marketing database applications
  • Strong attention to detail with a curiosity to analyse results
  • Demonstrate a natural flair and understanding of digital marketing, social media campaigns and be able to contribute creative and innovative ideas.  
  • Experience interacting with media representatives, corporate partners and other stakeholders and presenting in public.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills at a senior level.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and face to face in informal and formal settings.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines.
