This is a part time, permanent position.

Our client, a respected and successful leading manufacturer serving the retail, food shipment market and pharmaceutical sectors is looking for a part time Credit Control / Sales / Admin. Assistant to join their team.   This very busy, full-on role would suit a self-motivated and driven individual, capable of working on his/her own initiative with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities would be:

  • Credit control and reconciling customer receipts
  • Ordering stock from suppliers (liaising with Manufacturing Manager)
  • Invoicing customers and matching delivery notes (liaising with Manufacturing Manager)
  • Communicating with suppliers and liaising with the Manufacturing Manager
  • Chasing aged debt, running aged debtor reports and updating debtor/customer information in SAGE
  • Creating leads and closing orders where possible
  • Taking telephone enquiries in a professional/helpful manner and explaining/selling the company’s range of products
  • Quoting new and current customers
  • Taking orders and dealing with associated paperwork
  • Taking credit card payments
  • Completion of website orders
  • Chasing customers for order confirmation and acceptance paperwork
  • Maintenance of customer records and updating systems
  • Arranging transport
  • Chasing deliveries if/when required
  • Ensuring the office is clean and tidy and filing is in order and current

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in Accounts or Sales Admin.
  • Office based Credit Controller/Sales//Customer Services/Accounts experience
  • General office administration (filing, answering calls etc.)
  • Accounts functionality (purchasing / invoicing)
  • Good working knowledge of SAGE 50 accounts a distinct advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels
  • Ability to manage own workload effectively and efficiently
  • Organised, able to plan and prioritise tasks
