Specifications: 

Our client, involved in the leisure industry, is looking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Customer Support Advisor (for 1 year fixed term).  You must be passionate about sports, health and wellbeing, providing an effective and efficient service, acting as first point of contact for all enquiries as well as supplying information and advice on services.  This role will involve processing membership application forms within agreed standards and timescales to meet customer needs and objectives.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Assessing/providing accurate, appropriate information on advice on membership and queries
  • Explaining the features and benefits of membership, products and services to maximise membership sales
  • Ensuring all calls/queries are undertaken efficiently and within agreed standards
  • Processing membership applications and electronic subscription pay data
  • Processing manual and paperless direct debit payments and production of monthly reports
  • Producing reports and statistics as required (monthly membership reports, pay data etc.) to assist in the administration and calculation of grant calculations and reports for affiliated organisations
  • Providing general administrative support (distribution of post and general reception duties)
Special Requirements: 
  • At least 1 years’ experience in a similar customer support role
  • An understanding of the importance of excellent customer service and service level agreements
  • A knowledge of managing online information systems, CRM systems or e-trading systems
  • Experience of data management and analysis and MI reports
  • Ability to plan and organise
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience working with volunteers or within a membership organisation
  • A team player attitude (essential)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to multitask
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
