This is a full time, permanent position (flexible working hours can be accommodated).

Our client, a global distributor based in High Wycombe, is currently recruiting for a Customer Support to provide support to the inside / branch sales force by assisting with customer enquiries, order handling, the co-ordination of special customer requests and issue resolution. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous and proficiency on a computer is essential for this role.

Duties of the role will include:

  • Verifying and expediting customer orders to ensure accuracy and secure on-time delivery by co-ordinating the special request with the Branch Co-ordination group
  • Providing information to customers regarding their order status by answering enquiries via phone and email
  • Co-ordinating issue resolution by working with the sales representative and the customer to ensure smooth sales to shipping process
  • Assisting the sales representative process, customer quotes by performing stock checks and obtaining delivery information by utilising the computer supplier access
  • Processing order confirmation files by reviewing data and maintaining accuracy resulting in low sales errors and high quality
  • Participating in the company Total Quality process by following established policies and procedures
  • Providing support to the sales representatives by returning phone calls to customers, sending samples and sales literature to customers and researching and preparing customer return authorisations and replacement orders
  • Providing back-up coverage by covering switchboard during breaks
  • Any other ad hoc duties
Special Requirements: 
  • Requires a completed professional training, with some professional experience in a customer support or similar role
  • Knowledge of company product lines, services, policies and procedures
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Good telephone etiquette and ability to write routine business correspondence
  • Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications and ability to use the computer system proficiently
  • Able to compute rate, ratios and percentages
