This is a full-time, permanent position (however flexible, part-time hours will be considered).

Our client, a busy local law firm near the centre of High Wycombe, is offering an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Full-Time / Part-Time Legal Secretary to provide full secretarial support to the Commercial and Residential Property Department. Responsible for helping deliver an excellent standard of service to the firm’s clients, previous secretarial experience and an excellent eye for detail is key for this role.

Key Duties:

  • Produce accurate documents, forms and correspondence by means of copy and/or audio typing ensuring that the firm’s templates and style guidelines are adhered to when relevant
  • Deal with clients on the telephone, in person or by email in a friendly and efficient manner and according to the firm’s policies and guidelines
  • Maintain the Commercial and Residential Property Department’s filing system, including the closing of completed files
  • Prepare outgoing post for delivery to Reception within the allotted timescales
  • Attend team meetings and internal training events as and when required
  • Carry out online searches, applications and online legal processes required by the Commercial and Residential Property Department
  • Maintain the Commercial and Residential Property Department’s diary and appointments
  • Assist the Commercial and Residential Property Department by all means necessary to run matters in an efficient and timely manner
  • Provide refreshments for clients and the Commercial and Residential Property Department when requested
  • Cover breaks and some absences for Reception staff when required
Special Requirements: 
  • Previous experience in an administrative role preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Organised and efficient
  • Fast, accurate copy / audio typing
  • Audio dictation
  • Flexibility
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Some knowledge of conveyancing desirable but not essential
