Our client, involved within the furnishing industry, is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and creative Marketing Executive.  You will be working as part of a small team to provide support across the company website(s) and will be involved in their content writing, supporting in public relations activities, database management and membership information.  This role could evolve and responsibilities develop as you become more experienced.

Duties of the role will include assisting with :-

  • Developing editorial content from members and designers, to include re-writes to an agreed format
  • Constructing/mailing of their website weekly – constructing e-newsletter campaigns on a weekly/bi-weekly bases based on website content and input from the team
  • Producing/managing the distribution of social media posts related to posted content
  • Working with the website editor on the development and promotion of new campaigns
  • Assisting with content development and structure and with continual development of the platform, layout and design
  • Updating member changes/adding new members, incorporating requirements of the new product finder
  • Developing mailings using Act database and web email-outs as directed
  • Maintaining member data, updating records, supporting with new data entry and some data research (internet and phone calls)
  • Managing bounce-backs
  • Overseeing PR communications across all media and websites and creating PR communication contacts list, as well as  working with the team to create a PR communications plan on a monthly basis
  • Writing and issuing publications – support in writing and issuing the annual publications
  • Providing support to the Membership Manager in the development of their directory and the selling of associated advertising
  • Assisting with the administration of member events and exhibitions
  • Administering the distribution of the certificates and supporting communications for new members and renewals
  • Assisting with research to identify venues
  • Assisting with policing of guest lists and compliance with their networking rules
  • Supporting with new events/exhibitions
  • Co-ordinating sponsorship information
  • Continually researching new “lead” sources to provide project and lead stories.
  • Publishing a quarterly bumper edition, bringing together the key market and trend data
Special Requirements / Additional Information: 

The successful candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Good and demonstrable experience with Wordpress, Hootesuite, Photoshop and Indesign (an advantage)
  • Excellent content and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent time management, with the ability to organise, manage and prioritise multiple tasks/projects
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and dynamic
  • Excellent telephone manner
