This is a full time, permanent position.

We are working very closely with an art dealer based outside of Marlow who require a Project & Graphic Design Manager to work on their estate. This is an incredibly varied and rewarding role to work at the heart of the company, liaising with members of staff and public both internally and externally. The ideal candidate must be organised and have a very methodical approach to their work.

Key Duties:
• Book in all forms of artwork as it arrives at the gallery, checking sizes and book it on to the system and check for financial details
• Create stock labels for new stock.
• Arrange for the works to be shot - creating lists for the photographer.
• Create exhibition project on the database.
• Create images/text etc. for DM to add to the catalogue.
• Ensure writing arrives on time and the author/writer has everything they need.
• Create catalogue, including invites and price lists
• Input prices onto database.
• Check projects are in the catalogue/exhibition order. Adjust as necessary.
• Check print dates and price with printer.
• List the artist costs for the exhibition and ensure a contract goes out to artist (DM & Rae do this)
• Create scatter proofs if necessary.
• Send catalogue over to printers for contract proofs.
• Check work against contracts. Adjust colour as required.
• Send proofs to artist if necessary.
• Send in house emails to all with details of exhibition.
• Check print PDFs from printer and sign off.
• Work out print numbers and create mailing data, check with sales team and send to printers/mailing house once approved.
• Check all work in exhibition is accounted for.
• Create hanging tickets and back labels, attach with catalogue numbers to the artwork.
• Create list of artwork in exhibition order to check off when the work goes up to the gallery.
• Check all framing/cleaning is in progress if required.
• Sort gallery signage and ensure it is delivered just before hanging day.
• Create light box posters as required.
• Create homepage banners for website.
• Create TV screens for gallery.
• Create A5 poster and catalogue ads.
• Create mailers when required.
• Create adverts as required and send to publication before deadline.
• Print adverts and make copies for the wall and a copies for the London team.
• Create Studio works for the newsletter.
• Set projects live on website when catalogues land. Put note on dashboard to let all know it is live.
• Set publication once live on the website.
• Create full PDF of catalogue and upload to website.
• File catalogues in studio and create file tabs etc.
• Check all consigned out/in work is marked as such on the database.
• All front of house duties - Making tea for colleagues and guests, answer the phone, answer general queries, supply images when requested.
• Check and clear invoices.
• Sort database/website issues with IT providers and oversee any new designs to check all is within budget.
• Some secretarial duties for DM at The Studio - typing letters and general filing.
• Keep Programme/calendar up to date and the teams informed.
• Find stored paintings/catalogues/books as requested for the teams.
• Collate artworks for consignment/export etc.
• Liaise with galleries about delivery/installation of work.
• Undertake annual stocktake and report.

• Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making
• Energetic, highly motivated
• Exceptionally organised and methodical
• fully conversant in the Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator) and have experience working with book design/print processes
• Possess a keen passion for art
• Superb communication skills, dealing with clients and artists
• Able to organise the smooth running of the Studio
• Able to manage the stock and the exhibition programme
• Self-motivated and independent, but able to work with the teams to ensure the Galleries are supported with all aspects of design, publications and stock.
