Our client, who has been involved in the interior design industry for over 50 years, is looking to recruit a Sales & Account Manager.  This is an exciting opportunity to work for a modern thinking, dynamic company that takes great pride in delivering fantastic customer service and products.  You will be responsible for building sales by turning suspects to prospects, prospects to leads and then leads to customers.  This role requires speaking to potential customers, identifying their requirements and problems and then offering solutions and guiding them to products and services that can solve their problems.  You will be responsible for building the customer account and sales base and then developing them from a one-off customer to raving fans.

You must have experience in sales, be an excellent communicator and have exceptional skills in building relationships and providing solutions to customers’ problems, recommending and selling the correct product. 

Duties of the role will include:

  • Providing quotes to customers and leads
  • Speaking to leads over the phone, developing a relationship and selling products
  • Setting up accounts
  • Processing orders
  • Keeping the CRM data system up to date and correct
  • Finding new suspects and prospects
  • Developing the ladder of loyalty
  • Following a sales process and making small incremental changes
  • Writing call scripts for effective sales calls
  • Ensuring each lead is followed up and contact is made regularly via email, phone and post
  • Continuously improving the process using the 2 Second Lean Mythology
  • Mainly office based but occasional customer or site visits
Special Requirements: 
  • Ability to hit sales targets
  • Maintaining friendly and professional relationships with customers
  • Proven experience in sales or a relevant role
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, as well as customer service skills
  • Polite, confident and a clear telephone manner
  • Excellent IT skills and knowledge of CRM systems
  • Self-motivated and trustworthy
  • Charisma, determination and confidence (essential)
  • An interest in personal development
  • Excellent time management, organisational and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with sales processes
  • Qualification in sales or relevant field (desirable)
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Experience in customer relations and developing a ladder of loyalty
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
