Our client is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic Account Development Representative to provide key outbound prospecting, sales support and lead development.  You must be knowledgeable in service management, asset management and applications, as they relate to targeted prospects and customer needs. 

You must also be able to exhibit the knowledge and confidence needed to establish our client as a potential prospect or current customer’s primary business solution supplier for planning scheduling optimisation, field service management or customer experience products.

Duties of the role will include:-

  • Engaging in conversations of value given the research and understanding of the prospect and our client
  • Creating opportunities within prospects by illustrating areas for improvement, optimisation or automation and working with pre-sales and BE teams to underpin these opportunities with business cases
  • Utilising pre-call planning methods to understand the prospect and why our client is a viable solution for them
  • Developing cold accounts into warm and targeted accounts through various efforts, providing value while aggressively targeting accounts within specific industries that our client has identified
  • Understanding/differentiating how field service management technology is transposed to different vertical industries in terms of value to targeted accounts
  • Working alongside sales representatives to set meetings and penetrate targeted accounts
  • Working through ‘Gatekeepers’, gaining access to the relevant person/s in the prospective organisation hierarchy, while understanding where the decision makers are located
  • Understanding the functional competitive advantages of our client’s field service management solution and customising messaging to gain traction into accounts
  • Conversion of key targeted accounts to the sales pipeline and developing opportunities so that our client can continue to build a relationship
  • Implementing the account based marketing campaigns based on account plans built in conjunction with sales, pre-sales and marketing
  • Communicating at a high level via outbound calling, emailing and social media to engage prospects in order to further qualify as a valid sales opportunity
  • Maintaining regular contact with each sales rep to review assigned accounts,  making necessary adjustments
  • Maintaining relationships with assigned group of target accounts and developing value into working with our client
  • The ability to ask open-ended questions to uncover needs, learn more about the prospect and better qualify
  • Keeping accurate electronic records of calls and contacts and updating prospect status within contact management application
  • Communicating internally the status of all outreach and set meetings
  • The ability to display strong presentation skills
Special Requirements / Additional Information: 
  • 3+ Years of proven software telemarketing, inside sales or software sales experience
  • A self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to quickly gain and demonstrate a high level of understanding of application benefits
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with specific emphasis on telephone skills
  • Experience with contact management applications, Excel and Word
